We (Uriah and Katelynn) are real estate professionals and investors who own The Inspiring Investment; a company that buys, renovates, and sells houses in Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Clayton and surrounding areas.
We are a husband and wife team who share a passion for RE Investing, renovation, and design. Our love for the real estate industry started when we “flipped” our first home after watching too much HGTV!
That first house took 4 years of really hard work, but in the end it was beautiful. We’ve been renovating, and selling houses ever since, and it is now the core of our business. More than anything, we love the restorative, redemptive process of seeing a house in disrepair become something beautiful.
You should have seen the inside! It had red brick linoleum in the kitchen, living room and dining room! I mean who doesn’t love red brick linoleum! There were no floors at ALL in the foyer or hallway…then…wait for it… Tile with NO GROUT in the master bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was quite odd with its ocean blue laminate marble counters! Needless to say, we had our work cut out for us, but one thing about the Dortch family is we never give up!
These experiences have led us to form the backbone of The Inspiring Investment.
