Our home was old and in need of care that I simply wasn’t capable of, but her bones are beautiful and the location is fantastic. I wanted to make sure another family could build their memories in this house like my family had done, so I called The Inspiring Investment. Uriah and team are beyond incredible. Uriah is kind, ethical, and professional. – Liz Kardon
Although Zillow is a massive company with thousands of employees and Bagillions of dollars, they are publicly held (boooo). This means that they have tons of people that have to approve everything they do and bureaucracy galore. They set buying parameters and have decided that some homes aren’t worth buying for one reason or another.
Zillow doesn’t buy homes with Polybutylene water pipes! If your home has grey plastic water lines, they will not make an offer. This is frustrating to most homeowners that have a house built in the 1980’s and early 1990’s. Although these pipes can be replaced, it is very difficult to do so in most houses. Walls, ceilings and sometimes floors have to be ripped out along with most of the cabinetry in kitchens and baths. Showers and Tubs need to be taken out as well in some cases. So you see it can be a big headache for a large company. As we mentioned earlier, they like easy homes with minimal work. They like to make quick money. They don’t like to gut houses and replumb them and make major repairs. So if you have a house that needs a lot of love you have reached the right place, we love renovating homes (ALL homes!) not just the ones Zillow doesn’t want.
If your home is in need of a lot or repairs, say a new roof, new siding, new windows, kitchen, baths and flooring we can still buy it. These are common repairs / renovations on the homes we buy. Our company is local and privately held so we get to talk to you about how to best take care of you and your situation, not what’s best for us and our shareholders.
